When we think of fall drinks, pumpkin spice lattes and hot cider usually come to mind. Fall flavors aren't just for cafés, though, and we have the perfect seasonal cocktail for entertaining on those crisp evenings. Whether you're joining us here at The Otesaga, or looking to recreate some of the magic of our upstate New York hotel at home, a Cooperstown Harvest is the ideal sip-worthy drink to put you in the mood for all things autumn.

Cooperstown Harvest

  • 1.5oz Cooperstown Distillery Beanball Bourbon
  • .5oz Apple Cider
  • .25oz Apple Shrub
  • .25oz Maple Syrup
  • .25oz Fly Creek Cider Mill Original Hard Cider

For the construction of this drink all ingredients should be combined in a shaker. Start with 3-4 leaves of sage; you can wake up the sage by smacking it between your hands, which primes the release of the sage oil. Next you'll add the maple syrup then the apple shrub (if you don't have the apple shrub you can substitute apple cider vinegar, just be aware a little goes a long way). Next add the fresh apple cider and your Cooperstown Distillery Beanball Bourbon. Then add your ice to the shaker and vigorously shake for 20-30 seconds, the shaking unifies the drink and releases the sage oil into the cocktail. Once shaken, strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and finish off with a splash of Fly Creek Cider Mill Original Hard Cider. Garnish with a slice of apple and sage leaf. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy all your hard work!
