Historic Hyde Hall Museum

Take a 50-minute guided tour of Hyde Hall and fall under the spell of one of the country's oldest American structures. Overlooking James Fenimore Cooper's fabled "Glimmerglass" for over 175 years, this majestic 50 room country house plays host to a rich history dating back over five generations. It also features an astounding collection of furniture, furnishings, artwork and artifacts from a fascinating bygone era.

    Originally founded in the early 1700s by George Clarke, Hyde Hall is a neoclassical country mansion that combines the architectural traditions of America and England. Declared a National Historic Landmark in 1986, the iconic structure houses numerous rare artifacts from the period, which paint an interesting picture of life during colonial times.
