Great, beautiful place, with very friendly staff
An old classic hotel - beautifully maintained. Staff (from front desk to resort store) are quite friendly. Stayed there on business and more recently stayed there for anniversary. It's the nicest hotel in the area hands down and great breakfast and great accommodations. It's one of the older type hotels (as in old architecture) so it designed like that with relatively okay sized rooms (unlike say true modern hotels)
The room was beautiful. From the towels to the toiletries everything was over the top and above expectations. I was on the 4th floor and the elevator was not slow-I never felt like I was waiting for an extended period of time. The hotel staff was wonderful! The woman who greeted us for our meals was very professional and kind. The wait staff was also exceptional, went above and beyond for a member of our group who is vegan. The Breakfast and Lunch were over the top with choices and was simply delicious. Having coffee provided throughout the day as well as tea was also appreciated. The meeting rooms were very good, sound and visual with computers were great as well. I cant say enough good things, it really is a great place
Had stayed before and left a great review. This was even better. The service was impeccable both at the front desk and in the dining rooms. Even the staff in the halls was very friendly. Breakfast and lunch are extensive buffets. Our group was in a conference room but had the same prix fixe menu. Everything was great. Somehow, without asking, I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. Wonderfully furnished. I thought that I must have been in the Stickley show room. Very comfortable bed with too soft pillows. All pillows in all hotels are too soft! When you consider that meals are included in the price, you can't beat the price. Once you do the math this is a luxury hotel at a budget price. ( of course we were here off season) Downside. There was a breeze in the bathroom even with the windows shut. Unlike my last review there was coffee and tea in the room. Unfortunately, just like most places it was Earl Gray, not just plain black tea. All in all it takes you back to an era of opulence. I think that the time to go would be early October when the trees are turning
