Red Shed - Jessica's Red Ale
Located just 6 miles from our hotel, Red Shed Brewery is a delightful brewery that boasts a gorgeous outdoor beer garden and a relaxing atmosphere. All of their beers are brewed using locally grown hops and ingredients sourced from throughout Cooperstown. While they have an extensive selection of craft brews, we're featuring Jessica's Red Ale, an American Red Ale with bright citrus hops and caramel malts. Also including a light rye spiciness, this beer has a balanced finish sure to leave you wanting more.
Ommegang - Neon Rainbows IPA
Brewery Ommegang is another local tap house that draws visitors from all over New York. This Farmhouse Brewery not only produces a variety of craft beers and ciders, but they also have a large outdoor patio with beautiful views of the Cooperstown countryside. The patio also doubles as the perfect vantage point to enjoy Ommegang's live music and concerts throughout the summer! At the Otesaga, you can try one of their most popular beers, the Neon Rainbows IPA. This flavorful hazy IPA has ample bitterness, balanced by notes of tropical and citrus fruit. Cooperstown Brewery - "All American Lager"
Cooperstown Brewing Company, located just outside of Cooperstown, combines baseball and craft brews in the most delicious way. A stop on the Cooperstown Beverage Trail, this brewery is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the local flavors of Cooperstown's craft beverage scene. Or, stop by our Hawkeye Grill to taste their classic All American Lager! Grown with locally sourced Saaz Hops, this straw-colored American Ale is crisp and clean. Slightly malty with hints of fresh grain, this ale is incredibly drinkable and is sure to be refreshing in the hot summer sun.
Good Nature Brewing - Blonde Ale
While this Farm Brewery is located about an hour from our hotel, they're worth including on this list because of their commitment to sustainability and all-natural ingredients. This farm-to-table brewery prides themselves on offering ethically produced beers that are unfiltered, unpasteurized, and contain no artificial additives or adjuncts. We're happy to support their community-centric mission by offering their Good Nature Blonde Ale at the Hawkeye Grill. This easy-to-drink brew is medium bodied and slightly malty. With hints of bread and crackers, this lighter ale is a classic flavor and a perfect addition to our summer menu.
