Taste of New York Series: Painted Farm Goat Cheese

By: The Otesaga / 08 Jan 2018
For 2018 , we are resolute in telling you a bit more about the wonderful farm fresh ingredients used by the chefs at The Otesaga. This is the first post in a series that will showcase an individual ingredient (that is made locally in New York state) and highlight how we incorporate it on our menus at Glimmerglass, Hawkeye Bar and Grill and more. First up?

Let's talk about our favorite goat cheese from Painted Goat Farm just down the road in Garrattsville, New York. Check out this nifty video we put together to introduce you to one of our favorite local vendors.

What do you think? Sounds tasty, right?

Taste of NY Dinners at Hawkeye Bar & Grill

As part of our commitment to share more about our fabulous local farmers and vendors in 2018, we are also hosting three very special dinners and tastings focused on the best the state of New York has to offer. Craft beverages are a Cooperstown staple and our new series applauds area efforts with themed tastings of beer, wine, and liquor paired with fun, local fare in the form of a four-course meal designed by Chef Perillo and his culinary team each month starting in January. Be sure to make reservations, these dinners will fill up fast. More details can be found on our seasonal dining page, along with several other events we're hosting this winter.
