Thomas Cole and The Garden of Eden

May 25th - September 30th

Make art the center of your getaway. Thomas Cole's masterwork, The Garden of Eden is on display at Fenimore Art Museum, along with works from all over the world that showcase the artists that influenced Cole early in his career. Hall of Fame Classic Weekend

May 25th - 27th

Join the National Baseball Hall of Fame for a special weekend that includes the Classic on Saturday, May 26. Retired players representing all 30 major league teams will take to Doubleday Field in Cooperstown for a memorable matchup of baseball legends. Tickets go on sale March 5 for participants of the Baseball Hall of Fame Membership Program and March 12 for the general public.

Glimmerglass Festival

July 7th - August 25th

The Glimmerglass Festival has been attracting visitors for years, with inspired opera performances of classics, new works and more. This year's lineup features crowd favorite West Side Story, as well as others like The Cunning Little Vixen, The Barber of Seville and Silent Night.

Hall of Fame Weekend

July 27th - 30th

This is the weekend that crowds of baseball fans descend upon Cooperstown, ready to celebrate the latest additions to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Events fill Hall of Fame Weekend, culminating in the Induction Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. Some families come TO Cooperstown every year to experience this one-of-a-kind weekend.

Hops on Tap

May - September 2018

Things are hopping over at The Farmers' Museum this year. Their newest exhibit showcases how hops have played a part in the region's history and culture both today and 100 years ago. With events, programming and demonstrations throughout the season, there's something for everyone, beer lovers, kids and more. After all, Cooperstown used to be nicknamed, Hop City.

Baseball Hall of Fame Astro's Weekend

August 4th-5th

The 2017 World Series Trophy will be on display this weekend in conjunction with the permanent Autumn Glory exhibit featuring artifacts from the Astros' World Series title. Visitors will be allowed to take photographs with the trophy, learn about the history of the team and player profiles, participate in trivia contests and craft stations, and tour the complete Autumn Glory exhibition.

Harvest Festival

September 15th - 16th

This local favorite is two full days of demonstrations, workshops, music, kids activities and crafts, and vendors offering a wide range of locally produced provisions and wares. Of course, no festival is complete without a few treats including homemade pies and baked goods, Huff Ice cream, and cider slushies as well as traditional fare like hot dogs, chili, and pulled pork.

CiderFest

October 6 & 7, 2018

One might argue that the release of all things pumpkin spice mark the arrival of autumn. But here in Cooperstown, it's the apples and there's no better way to enjoy them than fresh, sweet cider pressed onsite at Fly Creek Cider Mill. During CiderFest, guests can enjoy tastings, pressing demonstrations, and a host of other activities throughout the weekend.

Candlelight Evening

December 8th

Real jingle bells add to the magic of the evening as horses dressed in harness bells pull wagons carrying visitors through the museum's snowy grounds. Gather around a bonfire on the tavern green and partake of complimentary wassail, made with local cider, warming in kettles over open fires – served throughout the event.
