The SMRT Quartet provides an environment that is family-friendly but also perfect for a group of adults wanting to grab a cocktail and spend time with friends. Their performances allow you to dance if you feel like dancing, sit and listen if you enjoy doing that, or spend private time at a table with some friends while having some nice background music. The group typically performs tunes from the Great American Songbook (popular swing standards such as "All of Me, " "How High the Moon," and "Satin Doll"). For jazz enthusiasts, they sprinkle their performances with a few lesser-known jazz tunes, and for fun they typically include some contemporary music in their sets including classic R&B songs from Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and Roberta Flack. The group is composed of seasoned musicians who are accustomed to "playing the crowd." Guests will notice the experience these musicians bring to The Otesaga. They have an impressive list of accomplished, having performed with many well-known artists. Group members are Joe Siracusa (guitar) Robert Roman (piano), Angus Mackie (bass), Joe Tokarowski (drums), and tonight saxophone/guitar player Rob Armus joins the group. See them tonight in the Templeton Lounge from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
