The Cooperstown Community Band is made up of a variety of talented musicians from the Central New York State area, and is presently composed of members from many area towns and villages. Among them are people from all job descriptions and all walks of life, high school and college students, retirees, people from many different backgrounds. They range in age from 13 to 80+. They all have one thing in common; they love music, and they love to perform that music for their audience. The band plays a variety of music including patriotic selections, marches, show tunes, novelty songs, Dixieland, jazz, movie themes, you name it. Just about every performance includes a stirring John Philip Sousa march or two. Join them on the front lawn of The Otesaga. Seating is provided and the performance begins at 2:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
