Fine dining has always been a part of The Otesaga's tradition of gracious hospitality.

The first meal served in 1909 featured caviar canapes, broiled halibut with potatoes Parisiennes, Lamb Chops Monte Carlo, seasonal fresh vegetables and fruits, and desserts like coconut cake and rhubarb pie.

Featuring an imaginative and varied menu each day, while emphasizing foods from central New York State, The Otesaga is a Modified American Plan (includes breakfast and dinner) Resort.

Each day begins with choice of table service or selections from our breakfast buffet in our bright and elegant Main Dining Room. The five-course evening dinner menu, at which gentlemen are required to wear jackets*, is accompanied by candlelight and piano music. A selection of fine wines is available. The adjacent Lobby Bar is the perfect spot for cocktails and conversation before dinner or a quiet after-dinner cordial. You can also enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings from the spacious Otesaga Veranda overlooking picturesque Lake Otsego.

Luncheon options include a wonderful selection offered by the more informal Hawkeye Bar and Grill, an American Grill, and adjoining Lakeside Patio. Next door in the Templeton Lounge , which is directly below the main lobby, guests can enjoy cocktails and dancing to live music six nights a week.

A sumptuous luncheon buffet is also served in the Main Dining Room with optional seating on the Veranda overlooking the indelible panorama of Lake Otsego and our Leatherstocking Golf Course.

In-season, the Main Dining Room is open daily for Breakfast 7:00AM-10:00AM, and Dinner 6:00PM-8:30PM.  Buffet Lunch is served Monday-Saturday 12:00PM-2:00PM and Sunday Brunch from 11:30AM-2:00PM. The adjacent Lobby Bar serves from 4:00PM until midnight daily. Also in-season, the Hawkeye Bar & Grill serves Lunch daily 11:30AM-3:00PM, and Dinner 5:30PM-9:30PM.
